United Township High School
I student taught fall of 2020 at UTHS. My cooperating teacher was absent due to family and health obligations, so I was left with his blessing to rehearse the three concert bands myself and assist with and run marching band rehearsals. I presented a virtual performance with each of the three concert bands, and the marching band prepared one of their pieces for their season in the spring.

Geneseo Chamber Winds
I co-founded this ensemble in 2014. The ensemble is designed to supplement the experience of the top players in the Geneseo program by providing additional rehearsal and performance opportunities. As a co-director, I selected repertoire for this purpose, created performance opportunities, and scheduled and led rehearsals. The group is still student-led today.

WIU Summer Music Institute
In 2017, I taught all clarinet masterclasses, sectionals, and private lessons during the six-day camp for both the Junior and Senior High sections. I also sat in on both groups' full band rehearsals to help individuals in need and performed alongside the students at their concerts as a model. I rewrote parts to accommodate students' unique needs and to ensure they found success while at camp.

Macomb Wesley United Methodist Church
I taught middle and high school combined Sunday School for a semester while at the Macomb Wesley United Methodist Church. It was an exciting and unique experience for me, being outside of the music room, and I was able to connect with students in a different way. I both co-taught and individually taught these classes.

Geneseo Schools - Seating Auditions, Recital
I judged seating auditions for flute, bassoon, and saxophone for the high school bands in 2019 based on a points system. I created a calm yet professional environment for those auditions to take place in.
I also judged the clarinet solo and ensemble room for Solo/Ensemble Recital in 2020, providing written feedback for middle and high school students to guide improvements before they performed at Contest.
